At Northeast, we understand how difficult it is to say goodbye to a beloved pet. We are here to support you during this challenging time and offer compassionate, respectful euthanasia services to ensure your pet's passing is peaceful and dignified. Our dedicated team is here to help you navigate the process and provide options that best meet your needs and wishes.

Where Euthanasia Can Take Place

We offer two options for euthanasia services, giving you the choice to say goodbye in the most comfortable environment for you and your pet:

In-Clinic Euthanasia

You may choose to bring your pet to our clinic, where we provide a calm and private space. You and your pet will be surrounded by our caring team, ensuring a peaceful experience. Many pet owners find comfort in the controlled environment of the clinic, knowing that everything is taken care of by our experienced staff.

In-Home Euthanasia

For those who prefer a more intimate setting, we offer euthanasia services in the comfort of your own home. Some pets feel more at ease in their familiar surroundings, and this option allows you to say goodbye in a place where your pet feels safest. Our veterinarian will come to your home, providing the same compassionate care as in the clinic.

Aftercare Options

We understand that every pet owner wants to honor their pet in a way that feels personal and meaningful. After euthanasia, we offer a variety of aftercare options to help you memorialize your beloved pet. You can choose the option that best reflects your wishes and the special bond you shared with your pet.

Private Cremation

With private cremation, your pet is cremated individually, and their ashes are returned to you in a chosen urn. We offer a selection of urns and memorial products for you to choose from, allowing you to personalize how you honor your pet’s memory. You may request a specific urn or other memorial products from our trusted partners.

Non-Private Cremation

In a non-private cremation, your pet is cremated along with other pets. While this is a more affordable option, no ashes are returned to you. We ensure that all pets are treated with respect and dignity.

Aquamation (Water Cremation)

Aquamation, also known as water cremation, is a gentle and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional cremation. This process uses water and alkaline hydrolysis to naturally break down the body, mimicking natural decomposition. It is a more sustainable option, producing fewer carbon emissions and using less energy. After the process is complete, your pet’s ashes will be returned to you.

Please note that aquamation is subject to availability, as the facility has a smaller capacity compared to traditional cremation services. In some cases, pet owners may need to arrange transportation for their pet to the aquamation facility.

Home Burial

If you prefer to lay your pet to rest at home, home burial is another option. We recommend checking local regulations to ensure you are compliant with any laws regarding pet burial. We can provide guidance on how to prepare a meaningful burial space for your pet.

Additional Memorial Services

As a token of remembrance, we will create a clay paw print of your pet at no additional cost to you. This keepsake allows you to hold onto a lasting impression of your pet and their unique paw.

We are here to support you in making these important decisions, ensuring that your pet’s memory is honored in the way that feels right for you and your family.
